Yes I am awful about blogging but that is all changing. Starting today I am going to blog like a mad man!

HUGE website update

Well if you haven't had a chance then you need to check out our updated website!

We finally found the time to upload some new images from this seasons weddings. We decided to change things up a bit also....

Instead of just showing a portfolio of all our "money" shots, we decided to show you some highlights from a whole wedding day for three different weddings.

This shows you what a typical wedding looks like when it's finished, minus the family shots and other setup photos that are very important for the bride and groom but not for everybody else on the internet if you know what I mean.

So we hope you enjoy the new images!

Music is a HUGE part of mine and my wifes lives. We are both music snobs........oh I mean geeks. ;)

Music is always playing in the background for me either literally or even in my mind. Before each wedding I shoot I listen to a mix CD that I put together to get inspiration and to pump me up!!!! Through the day it's all playing back in my mind.

So why not share? foxytunes automatically places a signature of what you are listening to while blogging or emailing! Very very cool.

B&W or Color???

What's your choice? Vote!

We asked the question because almost all of our weddings vary per couple. We will shoot more of whatever you like the best but we thought it might be nice to see what the numbers looked like.

If you like a more classic B&W look then we can shoot it.

If you like big bold beautiful colors then we can capture them.

If you want a mix of both......can you see a trend here??? ;)

Mike & Leah got married at Kings Beach in North Lake Tahoe, great area to get married!

What a great couple and family, speaking of family these two are truly loved! Friends and family flew in from all over the world. Russia, Canada and all over. What a great time!

Gary & Alicia

Gary & Alicia got married on the beach in South Lake Tahoe at a friend of the family's home and boy was it gorgeous!!!

Gary and Alicia were a blast to be around and so were their whole family. If you ever need a realtor in the Lake Tahoe area then Alicia's mom Deb Howard is the one to talk to, she is AWESOME!!! www.realtordeb.com

Hot Hot Heat!!!

Wow!!! Palm Springs in the summer......just crazy but here we are opening up another studio!

Underwood Photography is opening a studio in Palm Springs to service the whole Coachella valley and other Southern California areas! The plan is to do some weddings down here when things slow down a bit in the winters in Lake Tahoe and Reno area.

It's been a lot of fun but wow it's hot here in the summer ;)

We are on our way back up to beautiful Lake Tahoe to shoot a wedding this weekend so check back for some updates and pics from the wedding.

Tis the season...

....to get married!!!!

THE season has started and by season I mean the weddings every weekend type season instead of the catch up time of winter where we might have 2-3 weddings a month.

I love it!!! We are ready and it's time to blow right by those expectations you've had for a photographer. It's time to set a new standard in the area.

And talking of "area's" Underwood Photography has now moved to Reno!!! We will always service and be there for our Lake Tahoe contacts but it's time to move that same service and quality to the Reno area.

Keep a look out!!! :)

Sorry about not posting

It's been crazy...

Here are some photos from my last wedding. I shot the wedding with one of the premier photographers in the country, Laura Novak! How good is she???? These people flew her out to Monterey to shoot the wedding and she lives just outside of Philly!!! Cross country trip.

She was nice enough to let me tag along and shoot with her. I always try to shoot weddings with other photographers just to get new fresh ideas. I think both of us take something away from it.

Well here are the photos. Thes are sample pictues from an album so that you can see how I design an album layout. These are two page spreads (10x10 album so 20x10 in size).

Back from vacation

We just got back from a week vacation in Kauai!

What a blast. First vacation in almost 4 years!!! Yes that is stupid...

I love the contrast between the lava rocks and all the wonderful colors of the ocean and sky's there, just awesome.






















































The above photo is suposed to be the Grand Canyon of Hawaii...Yeah...so obviously we had a few problems with that trip, it's not so "grand" when it's full of clouds and rain.

But we are back! Well rested and got back in time for a wedding this past weekend in Monterey, I'll post pics from that wedding soon.

DWF is a photography association that puts on a great conference each year that we at Underwood Photography attend and will be attending later this month in VEGAS!!! We learn so much from the conference and get to associate with hundreds of other wedding photographers all over the world.

DWF asked us along with many other wedding photographers to help with a FAQ type of list for the bride and groom about wedding photography!

They have put all of those suggestions into one wonderful can't do without list!
